Do you dream of living and working on a tropical island. Do you have a deep love of the water? Are you longing to swap your desk job for a new adventure? Then maybe it’s time for a career change! Go Pro and become a PADI DIVEMASTER. Within 4-6 weeks we can expand your scuba knowledge and diving skills to a professional level. We are happy to tailor the course to your individual needs, but remember, the more you put in, the more you get out of it! Your qualification will allow you to supervise recreational diving activities and assist on PADI training courses. Plus, you’ll just be one step away to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. You will be working closely with a mentor as well as other dive professionals and trainees at the resort, expanding your knowledge and honing your dive skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training developed your personal dive skills and your understanding of the underwater world.

You will start your course assisting Dive Masters and Instructors with their day-to-day duties. Through immersion, you will learn the daily routine and what it takes to prepare a dive trip each day. In this phase, you’ll learn about dive sites and how to read water conditions, practise your navigational skills and study the theory in your Dive Master manual. You will also begin practising your ‘skill circuit’ with other dive master candidates, learning how to properly demonstrate skills to beginner divers. Of course, this is all in addition to getting in as many dives as possible.

Throughout your training, although you’ll learn from all instructors, you will have one mentor to help guide you throughout the process. Tag along on different courses until you are ready to actively assist on courses and help teach with with an Instructor. These assists are  crucial, as they are the first step in preparing you how to teach dive master led workshops such as scuba reviews. Surface intervals will be filled with practising dive & boat briefings, developing an emergency action plan and beginning to map a dive site. We will also help you perfect your rescue skills and fill in any gaps in your dive theory knowledge.

Towards the end of your course, you’ll be the star of your own course. Now it’s up to you to be in charge of organising a dive trip. Prepare the dive equipment and boat roster, give briefings and guide certified divers – all under the watchful eyes of your mentor. A “stress test” (technically known as the equipment exchange) will mark your last in-water exam before you become a real PADI Dive Master. Finally, your course will conclude with the legendary Snorkel Test. But that’s a story for later on in your training…
